Why is everyone on facebook in the middle of a school day?

Im online because there was a feild trip for kids in my grade but me and some other kids couldnt go because of after schools so half of us stayed home. But theres other kids that dont go on the trip until friday but they're not sick (i know cuz i asked them) My question is whyd they all choose today to skip?
