Green card holder- petition bf?

hi, i would just like to ask. i have been in and out the u.s for some time nw, but i have applied for re-entry. my question is, im a green card holder and id be giving birth anytime now, can i bring the father of my baby here in the u.s with just a greencrd holder, or if id apply for us citizenship, is it okey even if im not here in the us for 5 continuos years?
